Collaborates with physicians to provide patient care, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment planning, and care evaluation within the scope of Illinois State Board of Nursing guidelines. Performs comprehensive health histories, physicals, diagnostic tests, and pharmacological interventions. Provides education, emergency care, and manages patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Participates in interdisciplinary teamwork, documentation, and quality assurance activities.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse in Illinois
- Master's degree in nursing specialty
- National certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- EKG course completion within 12 months
- Strong communication skills; additional certifications in related fields preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including health assessments, treatment, and follow-up
- Perform diagnostic studies, order treatments, and evaluate care effectiveness
- Communicate with medical teams, ensure proper documentation, and participate in quality improvement
- Mentor and guide staff, and assist with patient education
- Adhere to ethical standards and comply with institutional policies
Additional Requirements:
- Participate in continuing education and research
- Maintain CPR and ACLS proficiency
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring ethical decision-making and optimal care
- Complete call schedules, attend meetings, and perform other assigned duties.
Compensation: Starting Salary of $110,000, Salary will commensurate with experience.
