What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supply Chain Analyst position at MIDWEST EQUIPMENT SALES LLC?
The Supply Chain Analyst is the main point of contact for the top customers to monitor and track orders, forecast accuracy and reporting. In addition, this role will ensure customer satisfaction through the improvement and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures, company policy, all legal/regulatory considerations, and company/regional Safety and Quality procedure.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Establish performance metrics for measurement, comparison, or evaluation of factors affecting the supply chain total cost of ownership
- Track international shipments and ensuring proper documentation is utilized and available (proper invoice and packing lists) and without errors
- Create and maintain forecast models for customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and other sources
- Responsible for working with Sales/Operations/Finance to finalize forecasts to incorporate the agreed forecast into the SIOP planning process, the output of which will be inventory plan, financial plan, and capacity/operating plan.
- Utilize Power BI to build Supply Chain reports and dashboards
- Create and track Supply Chain cost savings initiatives
- Track KPI (Key Performance Indicators) metrics for Supply Chain
- Maintain clear and consistent communication of status updates with both internal and external customers
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated and possesses the ability to complete tasks on-time and with little supervision
- General negotiation skills
- Proficient in ERP systems
Education / Training Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, logistics, or quantitative fields or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of industry supply chain, inventory management, forecasting, procurement, or logistics experience
