Bridgeview Eye Partners is seeking a motivated, results driven, detail-oriented Controller to join our team in Wabash, IN that would like to be empowered to make an impact! This position protects the assets of the company by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls and minimizing risk to the organization. The Controller is the main keeper of the general ledger and financial statements and will provide financial analysis to management to assist in the decision-making process. The Controller leads the accounting staff to achieve departmental goals.
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and lead an accounting team of nine employees.
- Budgeting/Forecasting
- Oversee yearly budgeting process and provide reporting to management team.
- Provide monthly forecasts for cash flow and performance.
- Debt Accounting including working with CFO as bank liaison.
- Financial Statements and Records
- Review and preparation of financial statements and performance reporting.
- Monitor cashflow requirements.
- Manages the financial year end process.
- Main contact for external
- Manages general liability and vehicle insurance coverage.
- Opportunity to Manage Cost Control Committee and other Committees within the organization.
- Manager the Payroll process utilizing an outside payroll processor.
- Other Areas of Responsibility
- Provide financial analysis to assist in decision making.
- Provide support for the revenue cycle process.
- Regulatory reporting and compliance.
- Work with management to continually improve internal controls to reduce risk and to improve operations.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and minimum 4 plus years Accounting experience preferred or additional certification such as CPA.
COMPETENCIES:
- Strong computer skills. Prefer knowledge regarding the use of Microsoft Office, MAS 90 or similar software products.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be able to communicate with co-workers, management, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Solid understanding of GAAP accounting processes and procedures.
