OUTSIDE SALES EXPERIENCE IN THE HOSE INDUSTRY IS REQUIRED
Summary of Position:
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting, developing, and capturing new customers, with a primary focus on the commercial and industrial sectors. This role includes account management responsibilities, such as marketing, promoting, and cross-selling Midwest Hose products and services to both existing and prospective customers. The ideal candidate will cultivate strong customer relationships to drive satisfaction while meeting sales and profitability targets.
This role is expected to evolve into a leadership position over time, providing growth opportunities within the company.
Compensation:
- Competitive base salary commissions
- Company vehicle or vehicle allowance

Key Responsibilities:
- Sell, service, and promote Midwest Hose products to external customers
- Develop and implement business strategies to expand the customer base and optimize profitability
- Strengthen the Midwest Hose brand through targeted marketing and promotion efforts
- Build and maintain business relationships with customers, including those in the oilfield at rig locations and local field offices
- Proactively source new leads and convert pre-established leads into new accounts
- Meet and exceed sales goals while mentoring and motivating MWH staff
- Propose innovative solutions to increase market share and customer engagement
- Manage store administration, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
- Provide on-the-ground support for sales efforts, including customer visits to assess evolving needs
- Track and report sales performance data to leadership
Qualifications and Skills:
- Familiarity with standard sales and management practices
- Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills to deliver exceptional customer satisfaction
- Proven ability to assess customer needs and propose tailored solutions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Outlook, Excel, and Windows OS
- Energetic, outgoing, and positive attitude, with excellent customer service skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to retain product knowledge and prioritize tasks effectively
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed to complete daily orders
Required Experience:
- 1-3 years of hose sales experience
- Prior sales experience in the industrial or commercial sectors
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred but not required)
Education:
- High school diploma or GED
