Property / Custodial Maintenance

Overall Job Summary: Responsible for general cleaning, various light maintenance duties, and working with the Purchasing Manager regarding pickup and deliveries from local vendors. Day-to-day duties vary depending on daily business. This position will be assisting the Maintenance Manager with custodial tasks and general building repairs as needed. Minor landscaping repairs as needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform property maintenance duties; including but not limited to, edge trimming, weed removal where needed, maintain flower beds, trim bushes and trees and clearing debris. Using push mower, gas powered weed trimmer, gas powered leaf blower, clippers, chemical sprayer and other hand/motorized landscaping tools as needed.
• Perform cleaning and related actives such as removing snow and debris from sidewalks and walkways as well as all stairs in and around the buildings. Cleaning all equipment that is used daily. Help to maintain cleanliness in truck garage. Using shovels, snow blower, shop vac, rakes, push brooms, and plow truck as deemed necessary.
• Wash and/or clean all accessible interior/exterior walls, windows, and blinds. Using power washer, rags, cleaning solutions, buckets, and other misc supplies as needed. Follow instructions regarding the safe use of all chemicals and supplies.
• Wash all company vehicles including cars, truck, semi tractors and trailers. Using power washer, garden hose, brushes, sponges, cleaning solutions, and other misc supplies as needed. Clean the interior of all vehicles as requested. Follow instructions regarding the safe use of chemicals and supplies.
• Assist with setup of facilities for meetings, training sessions, and special events including moving furniture, boxes, equipment, and other supplies as needed.
• Perform minor building maintenance including but not limited to; cleaning gutters, painting, shampooing carpets, replacing light bulbs, cleaning restrooms and mopping floors. Follow instructions regarding safe and proper use of all necessary equipment.
• Pick up supplies and run errands as needed using company pickup truck.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Able to work independently and with a partner with general supervision
• Valid Ohio driver’s license as well as a clean driving record
• Ability to safely operate all vehicles and other job-related equipment
• Detail oriented, ability to following directions, attention to detail
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, kneel , operate a push mower and weed trimmer for an extended period of time. Ability to lift 40 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
