What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Operator position at Midwest Millwork & Casework LLC?
Key Responsibilities
· Organize cut files and materials to cut and label parts for assembly according to the production schedule and department goals
· Use various measuring tools to ensure accuracy of measurements and completed products
· Monitor machine operations, make adjustments as needed, and conduct periodic maintenance
· Use various hand and power tools to assist in the production process
· Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring all safety standards and protocols are followed
· Communicate with Shop Foremen and other team members to address any issues or concerns that may arise during production
· Maintain a high level of quality and attention to detail
Requirements
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers and rulers
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
· Basic computer skills
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Strong work ethic and willingness to work overtime as needed
· Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to prioritize safety in the workplace
· Experience in operating a CNC in a wood shop environment helpful
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
