Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled, organized and experienced individual to oversee all financial aspects of our organization. This position will be 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Provide the following relating to all activities of the organizations, as requested:
- Have CEO or designee approve all expenses
- Process all accounts receivables and accounts payables
- Process all items in QuickBooks
- Make bank deposits
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- Prepare checks and obtain CEO or designee signature
- Send check register and financial statements to appropriate individuals monthly
- Process payroll bi-weekly using QuickBooks and prepare all payroll tax reports and payments
- Budget Development
- Facilitate and participate in Finance Committee activities
- Prepare monthly finance reports
- Assist in managing employee benefit programs
- Maintain spreadsheets of income and expense for programs/events
- Process all payments for registration fees, prepare and distribute receipts
Education:
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration/Management preferred (Degree in related field or years of experience in financial management considered) Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Experience:
- One (1) year of recent financial management experience required
- Prefer two (2) years’ experience in association services and minimum of one (1) year of recent business management experience required
Skills:
- Proven experience in corporate accounting, financial management, and financial planning
- Strong knowledge of accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, and financial statement preparation
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to drive results and collaborate with the team effectively
- Well-organized, able to provide a variety of assignments and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Must be proficient with QuickBooks, Adobe, and Microsoft Professional Suite.
- Able to handle questions calmly and respond concisely.
- Presents professional appearance.
- Demonstrates professionalism by actions, communications, and behaviors; responds appropriately to constructive criticism.
- Able to apply policy in decisions related to programs; knows own abilities and limitations; takes responsibility for own decisions.
