Dr. Cole is a sports medicine, knee, and shoulder surgeon that has frequently been recognized as one of the “Best Doctors in America” since 2004 and as a “Top Doctor” in the Chicago metro area since 2003. Under the direction of the physician and PAs, this role will support the existing team in a clinical and administrative setting. The candidate must be self-motivated, highly organized, and a good communicator along with ability to multitask to be considered for this role. This is a full-time position ideal for post-college students looking to gain valuable experience in the medical field before pursuing further education.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour. Compensation at MOR is determined by many factors, which may include but are not limited to, job-related skills and level of experience, education, certifications, geographic location, market data and internal equity. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Ensure patients receive the care they need
- Help patients understand the Orthopedics services available to them
- Assist patients with priority triage and scheduling
- Answer telephone calls, route calls, provide information, take messages and check voicemails and emails in accordance with the practice procedures
- Assist in scheduling and adjusting patient appointments to maximize patient care
- Discuss treatment plans presentation
- Verify insurance
- Prepare clinic day in EMR system and in the office
- Maintain the clinic schedule
- Triage and respond to online inquiring to determine patient suitability for our practice and scheduling
- Assist with maintaining all materials needed for patient care
- Assist with surgical scheduling on clinic days
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Students interested in pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant (PA) or Pre-Med.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or orthopedics setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detai
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment including problem solving, decision making, strategic thinking, planning, communication, results driven and performance management while displaying leadership.
- Good phone skills – clear, easy to understand, reliable with following up as needed, good conflict-resolution skills to handle possible patient situations in a nationally ranked Orthopedic Office.
Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour.
