Midwest Petroleum is a retail petroleum and convenience store chain based in St. Louis, Mo. We began operating in 1946, and since 2002, have been recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of the top 150 privately owned businesses in St. Louis. Midwest Petroleum operates 58 stores within a 150-mile radius that employs approximately 600 employees. Midwest Petroleum markets fuel through the ZX, Conoco, and Phillips 66 brands.

Position Summary

Duties and Responsibilities

• Know all company procedures


• Practice proper customer relations at all times


• Know how to operate all equipment in the store


• Know how to properly stock inventory


• Know and follow all security procedures including paperwork


• Know and follow all preventive maintenance procedures


• Know and follow all State laws for liquor/beer and tobacco


• Keep everything inside and outside of store clean


• Be available to assist with shift coverage (most stores 24 hours)


• Serve the customer


• Front and fill coolers


• Administer credit card transactions

• Keep beverage and food stations fresh

• Always keep register at or below $100.00


• Document all refunds, void, and no sales by attaching corrected receipt


• Must be able to complete shift report


• Know how to check suppliers/vendors in and out


• Rotate stock


• Practice plus selling and provide prompt courteous service


• Handle any other work that can be assigned at supervisor's discretion

Essential Skills Required

Able to provide excellent customer service. Handle and count money on a regular basis. Complete and track tasks on shift sheets.

This position is performed within an environment of frequent exposure to general office equipment, beverage equipment, coolers , and any other site specific equipment/factors. You could also encounter exposure to hazardous materials and loud noises. Also, able to work outside of the office while traveling. And work in different Midwest Petroleum Stations.
