As Fleet and Equipment Manager, you will collaborate with the field service team to transport, operate, and maintain service equipment for field operations. This skilled position is responsible for ensuring the safe and timely delivery of specialized field-service equipment to designated locations, supporting the Field Service Teams. You will transport equipment from a central storage facility to various plants, service shops, and customer sites. Additionally, you will manage the upkeep and maintenance schedule for the company-owned vehicle fleet. This position is responsible for scheduling and managing general maintenance and upkeep of the company owned fleet of vehicles and equipment as well as permits, registrations, renewals, and recalls.

This position will be based out of the Midwest PMS headquarters located in Englewood, CO and is a full-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Transport and operate equipment and vehicles as required.
  • Ensure all equipment and vehicles remain in optimal working condition.
  • Develop and enforce preventative maintenance schedules for fleet vehicles, field service vehicles, and equipment to ensure timely servicing.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles and equipment adhere to safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Train drivers in safe driving practices, safety regulations, and the proper operation of vehicles and equipment.
  • Create and implement safety policies and training programs for fleet operations.
  • Monitor compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and maintain all necessary records.

Required Skills

  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledgeable in vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and fleet management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • In-depth knowledge of and compliance with relevant DOT and FMCSA safety regulations and requirements.
  • Experience operating truck and trailer units, securing loads, and conducting pre- and post-trip inspections.
  • Proficient in operating telehandlers and other various equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and travel as needed, with approximately 60% overnight travel.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic electrical knowledge is a plus.
  • Physical Requirements

  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Climb ladders and work at heights.
  • Perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
  • Successfully pass a DOT physical examination.
