Job Overview
Midwest Steel is looking for an organized and detail-oriented Order Entry Specialist to join our fast paced and growing team. The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for reviewing all new orders for accuracy, inputting data in internal systems, and maintaining clear communication with both new clients and internal team members. This is a full time and in-person position.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming orders efficiently and accurately using our order entry systems.
- Maintain organized files and documentation related to orders and customer payments.
- Perform basic math calculations to verify order quantities and pricing using internal pricing tools.
- Assist with simple construction review on new orders.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve any order discrepancies or issues.
- Provide administrative support as needed, ensuring smooth operations within the team.
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for order entry and data management.
- Familiarity with Office 365
- Basic math skills for verifying order details and calculations.
- Previous experience in an administrative role or related field is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of order processing.
