Job Overview:
Midwest Equipment Rental and Sales is looking for a Rental Associate to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with customers, learning new skills, and helping people find the right equipment for their projects. Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet and assist customers, helping them determine the right tools and equipment for their projects.
Rental Process: Write rental orders, process payments, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately.
Equipment Handling: Load and unload rental equipment from customer vehicles, offering assistance when needed.
Equipment Instruction: Provide basic demonstrations on how to safely operate rental equipment.
Shop & Yard Maintenance: Keep the rental yard and shop organized, clean, and safe for customers and employees.
Delivery Assistance: Occasionally assist with equipment deliveries and pickups as needed.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experiences.
Requirements:
Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude toward customer service.
Willingness to learn about rental equipment and how to operate it safely.
Must pass a drug screen prior to employment and occasional screenings throughout employment.
Must be able to speak, understand, and write English clearly. Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
Criminal background check required.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
As weekends are a busy time for our business, Saturday availability is required, with Sundays off.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on experience.
