Yard Operator Needed!!
The Yard Operator will operate an industrial forklift to accomplish various material handling assignments at Midwest Tile & Concrete, Woodburn, In., 12 miles NE of Fort Wayne, IN.
Prior experience with a forklift is required.
Position:
- Full time, Monday - Friday with overtime as needed

- Pay is $18 / hour, eligible for $1/hr increase after 90 days, plus $3 /hr attendance incentive when you meet requirements
Job Functions:
- Identifies and transports requested materials to and from various locations including loading docks, trucks, and storage areas.
- Obtains production schedule and/or shipping orders and then identifies, verifies, and transports requested raw materials, equipment, or processing materials accordingly.
- Applies understanding of machine loading capacity and loading schedule, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of required items.
- Uses protective materials and strapping equipment to protect and secure loads; once delivered, removes strapping and wrapping, then safely disposes of waste materials in designated containers or areas.
- Reports any problems with materials or transportation to Manager.
- Manages and piles, skids, pallets, and other supplies in specified areas.
Skills & Abilities:
- Dependable and reliable, Good Attendance required
- Ability to do routine lifting, carrying and moving objects up to 75 pounds
- GED or High School diploma
- Fluent in English
- Not required to be certified as a Forklift operator
- Must have prior experience as a forklift operator
CDL - Class A Driver
Drivers:
Work for a private carrier
Home every evening, all day deliveries only
Deliveries within a 150 mile radius
ELD exempt
Prior driving experience of 1-2 years minimum
No prior incidents
Compensation:

Position:
- Plans and completes an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day.
- Loads delivery vehicle and delivers to correct addresses, obtaining signatures and proof of receipt when necessary.
- Picks up parcels along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested.
- Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
- Provide excellent service to customers
- Cleanliness of truck, trailer, and equipment
- Safe driving record and knowledge of trailer operations
