What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outside Sales Rep position at Midwest Unlimited?
Midwest Unlimited is a nationally known provider of safety, rigging and fall protection equipment and supplies that is looking for a competitive field sales representative who will develop sales strategies to attract new clients in Lincoln and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services. As a field sales representative, or sales agent, they will also research sales competition.
Duties:
- Promote and cross sell products and solutions to current and new customers
- Prospect customers through cold calling and door-knocking
- Following sales leads and scheduling appointments with prospective customers
- Utilizing sales reports and other data to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns
- Following up with customers and providing excellent customer service
- You will have the flexibility of planning your work and balancing your own calendar between your field obligations and main office.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of sales experience
- Persistent, overcome the "No" response with a "Yes" attitude and drive
- Strong communication & organizational skills
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to manage deadlines and to operate with a sense of urgency
- Valid Driver's License a must
