JOB PURPOSE
The Institutional Relations division exists to recruit and retain students, donors, and friends. The First Impressions Manager contributes to this mission by crafting the first impressions between the Admissions Office and prospective students while leading the Admissions Representative teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
First Impressions Management
- Develop structures and processes via the communication plan to craft high quality first impressions with prospective students.
- Train Admissions Representatives to interact with prospective students in such a way that maximizes the first impression.
- Design and execute campus tours that give prospective students a great first impression of campus.
Communication Plan Oversight and Execution
Ensure completion of both the regular communication plan and the calendar communication plan.Organize and update communication plans, campaigns, templates, case lists, and other aspects of Radius and other communication software.Coordinate the schedule of Admissions Representatives with the execution of the communication plan and the availability of calendar appointments for prospective students.Assist Admissions Representatives in communication to prospective students.Admissions Representative Supervision
Hire and train Admissions Representatives.Develop work schedules for the Admissions Representative teams.Provide ongoing training and feedback for Admissions Representatives.Develop a knowledge of both the institution and the Admissions Office’s systems and processes to answer all work-related questions and issues for Admissions Representatives.Provide, or make provision for, leadership development and mentorship for Admissions Representatives.Radius Management
Cooperate with the Application Coordinator to maintain clean records for prospects and applicants in Radius.Identify problems and solutions in processes, lists, and forms in Radius.Update and manage Radius communication plans.Personal Development and Team Initiatives
Develop as an organizational leader for current and future ministry objectives.Assist in planning and executing Admissions department projects and events.Recruit at certain events and conferences.Residential College Funnel & Organic Recruiting :
Meet enrollment goals as outlined in the Enrollment Driver Report and build intentional relationships with prospective residential college students throughout the process.Develop local and regional pipelines of Spurgeon College students by engaging with leaders from Christian schools, churches, and parachurch ministries, particularly in the KC metro and the surrounding Midwest region (Omaha, Des Moines, Columbia, Springfield, and Wichita).Plan and coordinate visits to regional schools and ministries with high concentrations of prospective students, in collaboration with the Spurgeon College Office and cohort leaders.Schedule large group campus visits with ministry groups, classes, and other organizations from key areas with a high concentration of prospective residential students.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
