ASSISTANT TO THE CENTER FOR BIBLICAL COUNSELING
Reports to Director of the Center for Biblical Counseling

FLSA Status Hourly, Non-Exempt
JOB PURPOSE
To assist the Center for Biblical Counseling in fulfilling the mission to provide resources, training, and support to promote excellence in biblical care and counseling in the local church and community.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Receive and respond to general correspondence (e.g., emails, phone calls, web inquiries) in a professional and timely manner
- Receive and process applications for biblical counseling under the direction of directors
- Receive and process applications for counseling observation and supervision hours under the direction of the directors
- Receive and process requests for the Fundamentals Certificate of Completion
- Proactively assist directors with administrative tasks
- Assist the directors with facilitating local church partnerships to promote biblical counseling ministry
- Provide biblical counseling as needed
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Including, however not limited to:
- Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
- Committed to biblical counseling as a philosophy of counseling
- Completed the ACBC Fundamentals Training
- Observed at least 10 hours of biblical counseling
- Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
- Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
- Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Able to show a desire and willingness to learn
- Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record
- Eligible to work in the United States
WORKING CONDITIONS
- No more than twenty-nine (29) hours per week
- Shared office environment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at a desk or computer station
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
