JOB PURPOSE
To facilitate all the functions necessary to recruit and train a competitive team. Play a significant role in fostering cooperation, positive teamwork, outstanding sportsmanship, and fan involvement at games and special events, and, most importantly, develop our youth as future leaders in God’s church and for the Kingdom.
This position requires thoughtful and respectful interaction with student-athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents, and the community and exists to advance the kingdom by cultivating a community of Christ centered student-athletes.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Recruit top level Christian student-athletes
- Organize and instruct the team during practices and games
- Manage the women’s soccer budget
- Recruit 10-15 student athletes per year
- Cultivate a Christ-centered community
- Assist the athletic department with administrative tasks
- Adhere to the NCCAA guidelines for women’s soccer
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Include, but not limited to:
- Christian with high integrity, actively pursuing a relationship with God
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- High level coaching experience (High School, U-16 club teams, College)
- Ability to use programs within Microsoft Office 365
- Familiar with recruiting websites and other recruiting sources
- Must be physically able to perform tasks necessary for coaching college athletes
- Able to multi-task, analyze workload, and prioritize as necessary for the benefit of the department
- Must possess a strong attention to detail
- Able to take the initiative to complete the duties of the position without the need of direct supervision.
- Able to learn and utilize new skills and information to improve job performance and efficiency.
- Must be able to work independently, as well as a part of a team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must possess a positive attitude
- Must be able to show a desire and willingness to learn
- Must be able to pass background screening, including driving record
- Eligible to work in the United States

WORKING CONDITIONS
- Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Travel required for games and recruiting
- Frequent evenings and weekends due to the nature of the position
- Work is performed both in an office and outside on the soccer fields
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequently required to sit or stand for periods of time at a desk or computer station
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Frequently required to work in adverse weather conditions.
- Must be able to demonstrate, within reason, team practice drills
- Able lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
