Research Scientist for the Violence Prevention Project
We are hiring a Research Scientist for a NIH-funded project that involves an effectiveness trial of a violence prevention project for 9th graders in the Chicago Public Schools. This is a 15-session cognitive-behavioral intervention, delivered by social workers in school settings. Prior efficacy trials with this culturally modified preventive intervention for African American students have been found to be effective.

The Research Scientist will assist Dr. Robinson and Dr. Jason with tasks as needed on a violence prevention project in the Chicago Public Schools.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervises research staff and volunteers.
- Oversees relationships with schools for data collection.
- Helps with analysis and interpretation of the data.
- Assists in research and the writing of manuscripts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
