Youth Soccer Enrichment Coach
Mighty Kicks Tacoma is currently seeking coaches in Pierce and Thurston Counties for our 2023 Seasons (Spring/Summer/Fall). We are looking for positive and responsible individuals who have a passion for having a lasting impact on young children.
What we are looking for in our coaches:
- Responsible: punctual to all coaching sessions, manage a group of 10 children, can effectively communicate with school directors, teachers, and parents
- Professional: neat in appearance, courteous, and cordial with all childcare center staff and directors
- Patient: you must be a patient person who can maintain their poise while working with children
- Enthusiastic: you must enjoy working with young kids, be confident in connecting with kids 2.5-6 years old, bring excitement to each coaching session to make Mighty Kicks the best part of the children’s day
- FUN: you need to enjoy having fun with young children, be comfortable using your imagination and being creative/goofy with the kids
- Practices available from Monday through Sunday 9:00 am – 7:00 pm
Requirements:
- You must have reliable transportation
- You will need to successfully pass national, state, and county background check (Merit)
- First Aid and CPR trained
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children 3-6 years old
- Soccer playing/coaching experience
- US Soccer, United Soccer Coaches, and/or NSCAA License
Compensation:
- Depending on experience, $18-22 per hour long practice
Mighty Kicks is a soccer enrichment program that introduces the game of soccer to children 3-6 years old. The program teaches basic soccer skills by using age-appropriate games, drills, and exercises. The sessions are healthy, educational and FUN! The team atmosphere builds socialization and Life Skills at an important developmental age. Our program introduces the positive character strengths that are proven to have a direct impact on achievement and success in sports, school, and life. The program is held onsite at preschools, daycare centers, and parks in Pierce and Thurston Counties.
