We are a team of experienced and compassionate early childhood educators and are looking for a like-minded team member who will join us to provide quality and engaging child care that children desire and deserve. You will be working with children in our school who are preschool-age, years two to five. We are looking to hire immediately.
Responsibilities of role:
- Provide nurturing care to our students that gives them a safe environment to grow and thrive
- Maintain and build upon an environment of mutual respect among the children and staff
- Support teachers in the creation of lesson plans and in leading activities to enable children to develop physically, cognitively, and socio-emotionally
- Support teachers in the documentation of each child’s developmental progress to ensure each one is growing and advancing according to the developmental standards set forth by the California Department of Education
- Develop a collaborative relationship with parents and families to understand each child’s family and community context so that each child’s learning and development will be maximized through this partnership
- Share in the responsibilities with other staff members to ensure a safe and sanitary environment at the preschool
Employment requirements:
- Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and engage students in learning activities
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students of different abilities and backgrounds
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods based on individual student needs
- Successfully pass background checks set forth by the company
- Satisfy the requirements for and obtain a Child Development Assistant Permit per the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing:
- Complete six semester units of early childhood education or child development course work.
Required age of at least 18 years with a high school diploma or GED
- At least six months experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred
