ABOUT THE ROLE
MightyFly is seeking an experienced leader for our airframe team, who will take charge of designing, developing, and testing our autonomous cargo aircraft. You’ll lead the creation of aircraft from inception through manufacturing, contributing your expertise in system engineering, aerodynamics, and collaboration with software and executive teams.
We are looking for a proactive individual with a passion for hybrid eVTOL aircraft development, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Lead the design, development, and manufacturing processes for MightyFly's autonomous aircraft.
- Grow and mentor our hardware team.
- Create and manage a hardware development roadmap that aligns with company objectives and goals.
- Collaborate with team members, consultants, and vendors to bring innovative designs to life.
- Develop and oversee testing infrastructure to ensure the reliability and performance of aircraft systems.
- Engage in hardware support during flight tests to validate functionalities.
- Manage hardware requirements and maintain compliance for certification when needed.
- Participate in high-level planning and architecture discussions.
- Document design processes and testing results comprehensively.
- Prepare technical documentation necessary for certification purposes.
