Sales Representative
Mikana Foods, Inc., a family-owned business located in Eau Claire, WI, provides premium cheese products for the food industry. We currently have an opening for a Sales Representative to join our growing team.
Mikana Foods is a fast paced, customer driven company. We have been adding great cheese to food products for 25 years. We take pride in the products that we represent, and in the food products that our cheese is used. We provide full product lines of both Natural and Process cheese used as ingredient to some of the largest most recognized brands in the Country. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and production versatility position Mikana Foods as a preferred supplier to the food industry.
The Sales Representative will provide direct support to the sales team, coordinate activities related to executing the sales strategy and manage daily functions of customer service.
Main duties of this position:
- Responsible for supporting sales employees: Areas of support may include coordinating sample requests, maintaining price lists, resolving service and operational issues, creating sales presentations, and supporting documents, generating sales reports, maintaining accurate customer information, and reviewing customer quotes for accuracy prior to proposal. Interact with internal and external customers and provide information in response to inquiries about technical support, products and services and address and resolve complaints.
- Plan, direct and coordinate the day-to-day operations, work activities and resources necessary to maintain and enhance the Customer Service team. Train, coach, and mentor employees on providing exceptional customer service.
- Work with management on customer service initiatives.
- Assist in planning and implementing sales promotions.
- Assist with the coordination of client meetings, trade shows and promotional events.
- Prepare and maintain weekly sales reports.
- Establish and maintain a strong working relationship with suppliers and customers.
- Monitor sales usages/volume per product line and review for trends.
- Coordinate with other departments in delivering a quality product while providing a high level of customer service. Ensure that products meet customer order and delivery timelines.
- Responsible for various administrative support tasks. Coordinate documentation between company and customers/prospective clients.
- Serve as back up to the Sales Support Manager and the Sales Team when additional support is needed.
Requirements/Qualifications
Education/Work Experience
Required: Associates degree in Business Administration or Marketing and 1-3 years of demonstrated sales or customer service experience.
Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and 1-3 years of sales and customer service experience in food.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
· Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and CSM software
· Ability to understand marketing and implement plans

Pay: $45,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
