Job Description
MMS is looking to expand its team with a dynamic, organized, and creative junior designer who can aid in all design phases while multitasking, problem-solving, and managing multiple high-end residential and commercial projects.
Job Requirements
Prefer 2-5 years of professional experience demonstrating excellence in design and implementation on several completed projects.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Experience in management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership, and coordination of people and resources.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Google Drive, Adobe Creative Suite, and Studio Designer.
Interest in professional development; motivated to expand responsibilities.
Need to have a form of transportation.
Essential Job Functions
Understanding and contributing to MMS culture.
Oversee and manage all areas of design : Concept, Design Development, Documentation & Administration, and Purchasing.
Understand project scope; foresee work needed and potential conflicts.
Research and develop design. Strategize solutions to be presented for consideration to the team while keeping faithful to the studio's design intent and direction. Responsible for clarity and adherence to the project's design concept.
Collaborate and coordinate seamlessly with architects, vendors, consultants, and other third parties while managing contacts. Serve as primary contact with clients, contractors, and subs. Keep clear and accessible records of correspondence and meetings.
Creation and ownership of project documents, including, but not limited to, project and decorative budgets, project schedule, construction schedule, specifications package and Estimate of Hours.

Display a strong work ethic and honesty. Be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
Ability to collaborate comfortably with new and existing clients.
Strong verbal and graphic presentation skills.
Remain positive, open to change, and react calmly and effectively in high-stress situations.
