What are the responsibilities and job description for the Landscape Foreman position at Mike Stacy Landscaping?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing regular reoccuring schedule of services of our clients Landscape Maintenance Services.
- Report directly to owner/ operations manager: Job progress, changes in job, employee performaces (only of the employees be directed under your supervsion)
- Ability to confidently manage a team of 1-2 co-workers and supervise a team effectively with patience, respect, and concise direction.
- Activly drive vehicles with crew members, supplies, trailers, and equipment; participating in daily onsite operations (client properties) providing direct supervision of your co workers, job quality control, time management, safety, and training.
- Plan and execute small landscape projects, including; lawn care, and tree care.
- Operate and change schedules, durations and frequencys of irrigation clocks, repair landscape features such as irrigation systems, fences, and pathways. etc.
- Ensure the proper timing of the maintenance needs of equipment, as well as the proper use and of safety equipment.
- Oversee the planting of and maintenance of flowers, shrubs, and trees, fall aerating and seeding of lawns.
- Monitor the overall health of plants and lawns. Delegate fertilization, weed controls, tree work etc to the appropriate subcontrators.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and preferences.
- Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used on a daily basis via submision of proper daily worksheets.
- Capable of snow plowing residential driveways, salting of commercial properties.
Requirements:
- Proven experience (5 years min.) but willing to train the right canidate; in landscape maintenance, and management of a crew, within the green industry.
- Capable of demonstrating strong leadership skills, and Excellent problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during landscaping projects with little supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of various landscaping techniques, including planting, pruning, and fertilizing.
- Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment such as, backing up trailers, lawnmowers, trimmers, chainsaws, barkblowers, dingos, wright standers etc.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects and operating machinery up to 50lbs.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and vendors.
- Capable of strong to basic Plant ID, and sound understanding of plant healthcare prcatices.
Note: Experience in landscape construction/building is a plus.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
