Role Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Coordinator to join our team. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of inventory across our retail locations, supporting sales teams, and maintaining accurate records.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
- Oversee daily inventory operations to ensure stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and ensure proper reconciliation with the digital inventory system.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstocking, ensuring timely replenishment of products.
- Coordinate the receipt, inspection, and storage of jewelry products, ensuring proper handling and organization.
Data Entry & Recordkeeping:
- Accurately update and maintain inventory records in the company’s inventory management system.
- Prepare and analyze reports on inventory levels, discrepancies, and product movement.
- Track product serial numbers, SKU codes, and descriptions to ensure proper identification.
Stock Replenishment:
- Work with merchandising team to place orders for products based on sales trends and stock needs.
- Ensure that items are ordered in a timely manner to meet customer demand without exceeding budget limits.
Loss Prevention & Accuracy:
- Implement and enforce procedures for the safe storage, handling, and security of jewelry products.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies between physical and digital inventory records.
Shipping and Receiving:
- Oversee the organization and distribution of received goods to the appropriate retail locations or warehouses.
- Coordinate the return of damaged or unsold inventory to suppliers or manufacturers.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with sales, purchasing, and warehouse teams to ensure inventory flows smoothly between departments.
- Provide support to store staff in managing product availability and resolving inventory-related issues.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the inventory management system.
- Recommend and implement best practices for inventory control and cost optimization.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience in inventory coordination, preferably in retail or luxury goods.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and Teams in particular).
- Experience with ERP Systems (JewelMate, DiaSpark, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, NetSuite) a plus
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with jewelry products and industry standards is a plus.
Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
