What are the responsibilities and job description for the Die Maker position at Milbank Manufacturing?
Position Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and ability to setup and operate all equipment and tooling, consistent with Die Maker “C”, including manual and CNC safely
- Knowledge and ability to design, construct, diagnose, repair, and maintain dies, fixtures, Amada tooling, and other Machined Parts to make quality components.
- Ability to analyze print specifications, setup and operate machine tools to manufacture parts to specifications.
- Knowledge and ability to use measuring tools, calculate Spring Life, Shut Height, Cutting and Forming Clearance, Progression and Die Timing.
- Ability to complete Die Changeovers and verify Set-up to Part Print for Verification.
Skills:
- Ability to safely operate machines in the Die Shop and other equipment as necessary
- Ability to safely operate all powered forklift
- Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools to verify dimensions
- Ability to communicate respectfully and tactfully with others
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve objectives
- Desire to learn new processes and procedures to improve business performance

Physical Requirements:
- Full range of body motion- bending, twisting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or otherwise maneuvering of the entire body and the dexterous use of both hands
- Ability to stand 100% of the time
- Heavy material handling and/or lifting will be required as described in the Physical Demands Analysis of the position
- Must be present at work when scheduled

Education Requirements:
Minimum: Machine Shop Technology Certificate or 2 years minimum work experience in
machine shop and/or tool and die shop
