Job title: Speech Language Pathologist
Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours per pay period; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Position Summary:
The Speech Language Pathologist position assesses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in order to help individuals enhance their ability to communicate and swallow safely.
Position Responsibilities:
- Perform direct patient care: assess and treat speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Complete patient documentation, including initial evaluations, plans of care, progress reports, and discharge reports.
- Contact insurance companies regarding benefits.
- Prepare for evaluation and treatment sessions.
- Provide education to staff, including nurses, physicians, dietitians, and food service workers, regarding results and recommendations following evaluations and providing guidance based on the most up-to-date research.
- Create in-service presentations and educational opportunities for staff.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers in order to provide patient-centered treatment.
- Clean treatment rooms following sessions.
- Provide reminder calls to patients.
- Aid patients and families in navigating the hospital.
- Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
- Professional degree in speech language pathology required.
- Masters degree in speech pathology from an accredited program.
- Eligible for Speech-Language Pathologist license to practice in the state of WI.
- Must hold and maintain Wisconsin Speech-Language Pathologist license.
- Must maintain a valid, current driver's license.
- Must maintain BLS certification.
- 1 years of related work experience preferred. Experience in a hospital setting a plus.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail required.
