JOB GOALS:The ideal candidate for this position will:
Demonstrate the ability to lead high-quality implementation of curriculum, instruction, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).
Be able to build staff commitment to the mission, goals and objectives of the school district and the school.
Have demonstrated record of increasing outcome equity for historically underserved student populations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:: The ideal candidate for this position will:
1.Articulate an educational vision that aligns to school and district priorities and reflects high expectations for all students.
2.Ensure that all educators skillfully use high-quality instructional materials through evidence-based, inclusive, and culturally and linguistically sustaining practices.
3.Provide professional learning, feedback, and support for educators.
4.Monitor and use disaggregated data and educational research to: reflect on strengths and gaps in instructional systems; continuously improve instructional practice; and eliminate learning inequities across identifiable student subgroups.
5.Build positive, caring relationships with students, family members, and staff to ensure that school community members feel valued, respected, equitably supported, and a sense of belonging in the school community.
6.Establish operational systems, procedures, and routines that ensure a safe learning environment for all students.
7.Gather and analyze school data to inform school and district improvement efforts.
8.Promote the implementation of evidence-based instructional strategies that address multiple learning styles.
9.Prevent and address bullying and other unsafe behaviors with timely responses and restorative practices.
10.Implement appropriate financial systems to manage the school budget.
11.Model, set clear expectations for, and support educators regarding partnering with families through regular, two-way communication in a manner that is culturally and linguistically sustaining, aligned with family preferences.
12.Engage with families in an equitable and collaborative manner.
13.Approach concerns raised by family members in a timely, effective, and transparent manner.
14.Develop a culture of continuous, data-focused, growth-oriented reflection and adjustments to practice.
15.Responds to disagreement and dissent in ways that build trust.
16.Provide equal educational and employment opportunities to all individuals.
17.Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
