CNC Operator Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce high-quality components. This role requires high attention to detail and a strong understanding of precision measuring instruments to ensure that all products meet strict quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Learn the basics of program structure and G-M Codes
- Use and apply the decimal measuring system and shop math for machining
- Set up and operate CNC machines according to specifications and production schedules.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions of machined parts.
- Perform quality control checks throughout the production process to ensure compliance with specifications and record on inspection reports
- Assemble components using hand tools and other equipment as necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machinery or production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and efficiency.
- Document production data and report any discrepancies or defects.
General Work Hours:
- 7am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
- Overtime hours and pay may be available when possible

Preferred Qualifications - we're willing to train the right person!
- Interested in manufacturing, production, engineering, and related career paths
- Experience as a CNC Operator or similar role in a manufacturing environment is helpful, but not required.
- Familiar with different types of tooling and tool holding systems, and able to apply knowledge
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers and calipers.
- Knows the basics of shop math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining processes and can apply this knowledge frequently
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality control.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
