Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role is essential in fostering a love for learning and helping children develop foundational skills in literacy, math, and social interaction. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with students in preschool and daycare settings, ensuring their safety, engagement, and growth.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that promote early childhood education.
- Support behavior management strategies to create a positive classroom environment.
- Engage with students during activities to encourage participation and learning.
- Facilitate literacy education through storytelling, reading activities, and phonics games.
- Aid in math-related activities that develop basic counting and problem-solving skills.
- Provide toddler care by attending to the needs of younger children, ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative learning atmosphere.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in an educational or daycare setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques to support diverse learners.
- Experience in facilitating preschool activities that promote literacy and math skills is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
