Milestone Environmental Services is seeking a Superintendent to lead site activities on designated projects. This role requires strategic thinking, effective communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Milestone in a professional manner, upholding core values of Ingenuity, Entrepreneurial Spirit, Caring, Accountability, and Collaboration
- Foster a collaborative work environment, promoting open communication and teamwork among project teams and subcontractors
- Develop and implement site-specific work plans and schedules, ensuring quality and accuracy of work completed
- Monitor and report progress to Project Managers, maintaining accurate records and updates
- Ensure compliance with WorkSafe BC rules and regulations, communicating safety information to project teams and subcontractors
Requirements:
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Civil/Environmental Engineering degree or Civil Engineering Technologist/Technician diploma (asset)
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a Superintendent in the Civil/Environmental industry
- Excellent planning, organization, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office)
Work Environment:
Onsite work environment is outdoors, subject to all weather conditions. Must be willing to travel anywhere in Ontario, with occasional out-of-province travel required. Shift duration and frequency vary dependent on project and client requirements, including weekends and holidays.
