As a Site Superintendent/Crew Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of job sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest standards. You'll play a crucial role in managing a crew of skilled workers, coordinating with clients, and helping to resolve any issues that may arise during construction. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both your team and our clients.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a crew of skilled workers on job sites, ensuring efficiency and quality workmanship.
- Oversee all aspects of concrete projects from start to finish, including preparation, installation, and finishing.
- Collaborate with the project manager and other team members to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise on-site, ensuring smooth project execution.
- Maintain a clean and safe job site in compliance with all safety regulations.
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications.
- Ensure proper communication between the crew, clients, and the office.
- Track and report on job progress, including any changes or issues that affect the schedule or costs.
- Train and mentor crew members, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
Qualifications
- 3 or more years of experience in masonry and concrete work, with a proven track record of leading and managing crews.
- Strong knowledge of concrete finishing, including decorative concrete, stamping, and exposed aggregate finishes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience managing a crew and ensuring efficient workflow on-site.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with clients, subcontractors, and other team members.
- Valid driver's license (clean driving record preferred).
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the fly.
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certifications or technical training is a plus).
- Experience with project management is a plus but not required.
