What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Milestone Equipment Holdings LLC?
The HR Generalist manages and coordinates employee efforts for Milestone related to HR administration, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, onboarding, and communications. This role is key to developing the Milestone brand as we continue our journey as one of St. Louis’ best places to work!
Responsibilities:
- Partner with hiring managers to establish recruitment strategies and assess talent needs to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Review and screen applications, create and conduct interviews, assess, and select the most appropriate candidates based on requirements.
- Lead the onboarding process for all new hires, work with hiring managers directly to ensure the execution of an excellent onboarding experience.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Milestone employees for front-line HR related needs, responding to and resolving employee questions.
- Manage, maintain, and/or develop website content, intranet, and social media channels to promote Milestone internally and externally in partnership with Marketing and CHRO.
- Manage corporate recognition programs including service awards, quarterly awards, and team member “thank you” programs.
- Develop and manage company internship and apprenticeship programs driving hiring and development of talent from bottom up.
- Provide assistance to Payroll Administrator and Training Leader as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration and/or equivalent.
- 1 years of experience in human resources which can include internships.
- Self-starter with ability to identify needs and areas of impact, as well as potential solutions.
- Must demonstrate enthusiasm, a sense of urgency, attention to detail, commitment and follow through while maintaining confidentiality and project deadlines.
- Strong computer skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills and positive attitude.
