Milestone seeks a DevOps Engineer to join our fast-moving, innovative VSaaS engineering team. In this role, you will help bridge the gap between our internal developer teams and platform engineering, ensuring a seamless developer experience with our pipelines, service request automation, and shared libraries. This role requires a strong technical background in cloud, CI/CD, Git-Ops, and development expertise in Golang and/or Python to support and improve developer workflows.

This fully remote role can be located anywhere in the US.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary liaison between development teams and platform engineering, ensuring a smooth CI/CD experience.
• Build, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab & GitHub CI/CD.
• Manage and enhance deployment workflows with ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts.
• Develop and maintain internal libraries and tools in Golang and Python to support engineering teams and/or dev-ops toolchains.
• Monitor and improve developer experience by gathering feedback, reducing workflow friction, and resolving issues related to CI/CD and service requests.
• Work with Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, Vault, & IAAC to optimize developer environments and deployment processes.
• Implement and maintain monitoring solutions using Grafana and related Time Series Databases (TSDBs).
• Provide documentation, training, and support to teams to help them leverage CI/CD and automation effectively.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in DevOps, Git-Ops, and developer productivity trends, bringing innovative solutions to the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering roles.
• Proficiency in GitLab and/or GitHub CI/CD for managing pipelines and workflows.
• Experience with ArgoCD and Argo Rollouts for Kubernetes-based deployments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Golang and Python, particularly for building developer tools and internal libraries.
• Deep Experience with Cloud, Kubernetes, Helm, Vault, and IAAC for application deployment management.
• Experience with Grafana and TSDBs for observability and monitoring.
• Experience with developer productivity tooling and service request automation.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and advocate for developer needs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for improving engineering efficiency.
• Prior experience in a developer relation-oriented role within a DevOps or platform engineering team.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $116,582 to $171,922, with most candidates falling in the $132,025 to $152,021 range. Pay is based on the level, location, complexity, responsibility, and job duties of the specific position and is just one component of Milestone’s total compensation package. Additionally, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes medical/dental benefits, FSA or HSA, 401k with 6% Safe Harbor employer match, paid parental leave, generous PTO (20 days' vacation, 10 days paid sick time, and 12 company holidays), fully paid Short Term disability policy, fully paid Long Term disability policy, and Life Insurance.
