What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer 2025 Internship - Civil / Mechanical Engineer position at Milhouse Engineering and Construction, Inc.?
Milhouse Engineering and Construction is excited to engage a summer intern in Civil or Mechanical Engineering for our Gas Team.
Candidates for this opportunity should be currently a senior or incoming senior level student who is graduating with a Civil or Mechanical Engineering degree. Candidates will be working on a variety of assignments supporting current Gas projects which will provide valuable learning and development exposure.
Candidates preferably reside in the Chicago-land area or are able to cover their own housing requirements. The work environment will entail working in our office or project team environment, following the Milhouse guidelines for safe practices throughout their internship.
The Milhouse Summer Internship program will begin in early June 2025 and end around mid-August 2025.
What you will do :
- Perform engineering design to client and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare project documents plans and reports utilizing CADD.
- Data entry into various platforms.
- Organize and maintain project files.
- Perform calculations and analysis.
- Prepare design calculations using appropriate tools and / or software.
- Prepare cost estimates and analyze material costs.
What we are looking for :
20 - $25 an hour
The actual base pay depends upon many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
