What are the responsibilities and job description for the Milk Shuttle Driver position at Milk Collection Services Of America Llc?
Responsible for short haul positioning of trailers to and from locations on and off the terminal yard, as well as the spotting of trailers at loading docks. Also may be assigned to move loads to and from off-yard locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate a tractor in both yard and street movement of trailers between designated locations
- Safely and efficiently maneuver empty and loaded trailers into and out of loading docks
- Make over the road deliveries or pick-ups of loads as assigned (some terminals)
- Accurately follow instructions in order to position specifically designated trailers to the proper door location
- Safe chocking of trailer and operation of trailer equipment including fifth wheel, dolly, breaks, lights,
- Inspect tractor for damage or broken equipment
- Report trailer damage or broken equipment
- Accurately complete work completion reports and equipment damage reports as required.
- Clean and tidy the truck and work area
- Such other driver duties as may be assigned
- Maintain a professional and cooperative demeanor with customer representatives at all times
- Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Must possess Commercial Drivers License and meet Company driver qualification standards. Must read and write in English. Minimum three (3) months or more experience operating tractor trailers, including the spotting of trailers in congested areas.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Exerts up to 50 lbs. of force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Job involves some walking and frequent climbing in and out of the truck cab and on and off trailers. Must have ability to safely climb stairs, ladders, and equipment footholds. Frequent movement between truck cab and yard in all weather conditions. Must possess ability to work nights and weekends where required.
