The Role:
As the Social Media Creative Video Lead, you will create social media & digital content that connects with audiences and moves the brand forward. This role combines a passion for video, photography, the beauty industry and social media. This is an incredibly important role as it will be key in bringing the brand to life with engaging content across multiple social media channels.
How you’ll THRIVE
- Lead Content Creation and Video Editing: Independently ideate, produce, and edit high-quality video content for all owned social media channels and paid media, with a focus on creating socially native videos specifically for Reels and TikTok.
- Own Visual Storytelling: Demonstrate a deep understanding of beauty video lighting, product application, and product payoff. Execute on brand guidelines while implementing innovative techniques to increase engagement and VTR.
- Drive Strategic Content Initiatives: Collaborate closely with Organic Social Marketing to understand strategic objectives and develop content that drives business outcomes.
- Studio Management: Take ownership of our in-house studio, including set-up/breakdown, light design, equipment organization, and inventory management.
- 360 Content Production: Produce eye-catching video content (short and long-form, :06-4:00 mi) for dotcom, emails, product pages, and social media, ensuring it meets guidelines and standards for easy approval.
- Platform-Specific Expertise: Create tailored content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter as part of monthly/yearly content calendars, aligning with overarching channel strategies.
- Collaborative Leadership: Brainstorm and partner closely with Organic Social, Editorial, Creative, and Operations teams to develop relevant, new content ideas/strategies to stay ahead of the ever-changing social landscape.
- Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects, maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines.
- Growth Strategy: In partnership with Social Organic Marketing, significantly grow Milk Makeup's social media channels per goals outlined by Senior Management.
- Community Engagement: Moderate user-generated content and develop social conversations in partnership with Community Coordinators and Social Media team members.
- On-Set Leadership: On campaign sets, make informed decisions on editing assets based on the provided brief and post-production processes.
We’d like YOU to have:
- Proficient in video capture, video editing and makeup / skincare application.
- Well versed in Tiktok trends, social media trends, photography and film.
- Video camera operating expertise with DSLRs, handheld cameras, etc. including separate audio recording.
- Studio lighting expertise and the ability to know what style and type of lighting works best for self-application, product, and texture video/stills.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues such as file formats, digital memory storage, etc.
- Excellent design aesthetic.
- Past experience creating & producing digital social media content.
- Strong understanding of social media, trending topics & most importantly the current beauty landscape and Milk Makeup competitors.
- Strong work ethic with exceptional project management & organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborative, team oriented but also capable of working independently.

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
