As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a reliable and experienced Non CDL Driver to join our team. As a Non CDL Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe transportation and delivery of materials to various job sites and to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a company vehicle, such as a box truck or van, to transport materials, products, and supplies to designated locations in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring that they are properly secured and protected during transit.
- Plan and execute delivery routes efficiently, considering factors such as traffic, weather conditions, and customer requirements, to ensure on-time deliveries.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including receipts, delivery confirmations, and customer signatures as required.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly and professionally addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints during deliveries.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws pertaining to driving and transportation.
- Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records by conducting periodic stock checks and reporting discrepancies to the appropriate personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- 21 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Able to operate a non-commercial vehicle, such as a box truck or van, weighing up to a specified gross vehicle weight limit.
- Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks, including loading and unloading materials.
- Excellent knowledge of traffic and safety regulations, and a commitment to safe driving practices.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently.
- Effective problem-solving skills to handle unforeseen situations during deliveries.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or overtime, to meet customer needs.
