The Learning Management System Administrator / Instructional Designer is responsible for the administrative and end-user support of Mill Creek Residential's cloud-based learning management system (LMS) and for developing eLearning courseware to be consumed by company associates via the LMS. This role provides ongoing systems support, systems strategy support, and content development to help ensure optimal LMS performance and appropriate content in service of the company's learning and business operations goals. Administrative and end-user support duties will be executed in coordination with the Human Resources Director (system superuser) and the Senior Vice President, National Training. Instructional Designer duties will be executed in coordination with the Senior Vice President, National Training.
Essential Functions / Responsibilities- LMS Administrator
- Provide LMS functional and technical support, including system administration and troubleshooting.
- Develop, test, and implement new LMS custom reports for end users. Periodically audit existing reports and manage the inventory of reports.
- Develop custom distribution reports within the platform to ensure training is assigned to the appropriate associates.
- Review periodic major product releases and other service updates for items related to LMS. Work with the HR superuser and the SVP to determine deployment, conduct user acceptance testing, and create appropriate documentation.
- Develop and maintain user guides and job aids for end users, system administrators, and instructors.
- Ensure online courses are correctly set up within the system. Support other LMS administrators and Instructional Designers with testing content.
- Coordinate with Learning Instructors to schedule monthly webinar offerings and manage post-session attendance as needed.
- Resolve help desk user questions and issues through an online ticketing system.
- Stay abreast of LMS user-generated solutions and proposed enhancements by monitoring and participating in online community support forums.
- Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, National Training.
