We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our dental team as a Patient Care Coordinator / Dental Assistant. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to combine administrative skills with hands-on clinical care, ensuring our patients receive top-notch service and care. If you're a friendly, detail-oriented professional with a passion for dentistry, we'd love to meet you!
We need your experience and expertise to provide an enjoyable and stress-free experience for our wonderful patients. You will need excellent math skills, be able to understand insurance EOBs, must be very detailed orientated and follow directions. You must have excellent communication skills and be confident in your dental knowledge. We require knowledge of all facets of the duties in a professional front office. We are looking for someone who loves working with people. You will need excellent verbal and written communications skills to help our patients feel comfortable and welcome while they are here with us.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Coordinator Duties:
- Greet and assist patients as they arrive, ensuring a warm and welcoming experience.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, including follow-ups and reminders.
- Manage patient intake and update medical histories, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process insurance claims and verify coverage for treatments.
- Maintain patient records, including data entry and filing.
- Coordinate referrals and follow up with patients regarding treatment plans.
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Dental Assistant Duties:
- Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring the comfort of the patient.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
- Take digital x-rays and assist with diagnostic imaging.
- Prepare dental materials and assist with impressions and other procedures.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office
- Dental Assistant training and prior work history (MN license not required)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
- Ability to multi-task and handle both administrative and clinical duties efficiently.
- Knowledge of dental insurance and scheduling software is preferred.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
