Mill Rock Packaging (MRP), a growing U.S.- based packaging company and a market leader in the design, engineering and production of high-end, sustainable, and customized graphic paperboard, folding carton and commercial printing products. MRP serves customers in various industries including consumer staples, food and beverage, technology, pharmaceuticals, health, beauty and more.

We are continuously hiring for Folding Gluing (Finishing) Operators and Assistants at our St. Paul, MN facility on a rolling basis. By applying to this requisition, you will be considered for related open positions. Applicants will be able to designate shift preference in their application.

Shifts and schedules in Folding Gluing (Finishing) are as follows:

1st Shift: 3*, 12-hour shifts rotating days, 6:00AM 6:00PM

3rd Shift: 3*, 10-hour shifts (Mon-Thurs), 6:00PM 4:00AM

*Employees on 1st shift schedules rotate quarterly and may be required to work a 4th day of overtime based on operational needs. Employees on 3rd shift may be required to work until 6:00AM and work a 5th day of overtime based on operational needs.

The pay for this position ranges from $18-29 per hour. Pay is based on a variety of complex factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

What youll do:

• Set up and adjust machine for production runs of various carton shapes achieving a properly folded carton with adequate glue adhesion.
• Perform quality checks in full compliance with all requirements of the quality system.
• Record all required run data and keep an accurate time sheet.
• Perform routine maintenance, machine cleaning, and preventative maintenance inspections of the folder-gluer machine and the gluing & detection system.

Qualifications:

• GED or High School Equivalent
• Previous Folder Gluer experience is preferred
• Possess that natural ability to problem solve and find solutions mechanically inclined.
• Must have basic computer skills
• A high level of organization skills to make sure job is ready to go

Applicants will be considered for position level based on relevant experience. Preference will be given to those with hands-on experience with paperboard folding-gluing machines in an industrial packaging environment. Those with related experience may be considered for higher-level roles, where available.
