Job Title: Substitute Teacher for Millard Public Schools
Job Code: 1535
Number of Days Worked: Varies based on needs of the district. (120 Max) There are no guarantees that the employee will be called to work.
Department: ESU #3 Substitute Program
FLSA Status: Exempt
Immediate District Supervisor: District designated personnel
ESU #3 Supervisor: Director, Business Services
Staff Supervised: None
Essential Requirements:
- No history of child abuse or negligence.
- Must hold a valid Nebraska teaching certificate and placed on file in the ESU #3 Business Services Department by the Substitute Teacher.
- Ability to instruct and manage students.
- Ability to work with parents and staff.
- Ability to be an effective communicator with organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Possess flexibility in job assignments.
- Must be punctual and dependable.
- Must display a professional attitude.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Understand and comply with the ESU #3 Board of Education Personnel Policies and Employee Handbook.
- Understand and comply with the district’s Policies and Sub Teacher Handbook expectations of the substitute.
- Other duties as assigned.
