Equine Breeding Assistant/Technician

Millbrook Equine Veterinary Clinic
Millbrook, NY Full Time
POSTED ON 4/3/2025
AVAILABLE BEFORE 5/17/2025

Millbrook Equine, a well-established ambulatory equine veterinary practice located in the beautiful Hudson Valley, is looking for an organized, cheerful, experienced equine veterinary assistant/technician to join our team on a full-time basis. If you enjoy variety in your job and are seeking an opportunity to contribute to a growing, thriving practice, this role is for you.

This role is ideal for an enthusiastic self-starter, as you will be working without direct supervision in support of our theriogenologist, Dr. Alana King and the rest of the equine care team. While the primary focus of this role is assisting Dr. King – restraining patients, assisting with procedures, and overseeing in house treatments, there is also a significant amount of office administration and organization required. If you are the detail-focused type, we want to talk to you!

A true motivation to provide excellent quality patient care and customer service is essential for this role, as is the ability to learn and use HVMS and the ability to multi-task and work independently as well as part of a team. Basic horse handling and knowledge is mandatory, and previous experience in a veterinary practice is preferred. Credentialed applicants are encouraged to apply.

Millbrook Equine offers a very competitive wage based on your experience, as well as a generous benefits package. We pride ourselves on our practice’s family feel and are most interested in finding candidates that will be an excellent fit for our culture and values. Please visit us at for more information on our people and practice.

Alongside your resume, please submit a cover letter outlining your horse experience as well as why you would be a perfect fit for this role.
