Transport/Court Security Deputy Job Requirements
As a Transport/Court Security Deputy, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the Mille Lacs County courts. Your duties will include:
Transporting Prisoners
- Safely transporting prisoners to and from court appearances, following established procedures and protocols.
- Coordinating with the jail staff to supervise inmate movement and ensure the safe transfer of prisoners between facilities.
Providing Courtroom Security
- Preparing courtrooms for proceedings, ensuring that all necessary equipment and personnel are in place.
- Conducting search operations to screen members of the public who seek admittance to the Justice Center, restricting access as necessary to maintain security.
Maintaining Order and Decorum
- Enforcing laws and regulations within the courthouse, including the arrest of violators as necessary.
- Maintaining order and decorum in the courtroom, ensuring that litigants, attorneys, court staff, and spectators conduct themselves properly.
Working with Other Agencies
- Collaborating with other law enforcement agencies, court officials, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of security efforts.
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to court security and law enforcement.
