Job Description :
The Mitigation Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Mitigation Department, ensuring that all projects are completed efficiently, within scope, and up to the highest industry standards. This position requires a combination of leadership, technical knowledge, and customer service skills to effectively manage the department and drive performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage all mitigation department staff, including foremen, technicians, and administrative support personnel.
- Provide mentorship and training for new and current employees, ensuring that they adhere to industry standards and company expectations.
- Conduct semi-annual performance reviews, implement training programs, and handle disciplinary measures as necessary.
- Manage hiring, training, and performance evaluations in accordance with company policies and practices.
- Work closely with the General Manager to align departmental objectives with organizational goals.
- Inspect job sites regularly, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to timelines and project completion standards.
- Enforce company policies and ensure job sites are kept clean and organized, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Develop and manage the annual department budget alongside the General Manager; monitor financial performance and ensure the efficient use of resources.
- Oversee material stock and equipment, conducting regular inspections to ensure proper maintenance and functionality.
- Participate in on-call emergency response services and provide after-hours support when necessary.
- Represent the company at marketing and social events, building strong relationships with customers and partners.
- Coach and train team members according to IICRC standards and the company's core values.
- Manage job documentation within company systems and make final decisions on personnel and project-related matters.
- Address any team or customer conflicts to ensure a positive work environment.
