Location: Onsite - Research Triangle Park, NC - Multiple facilities
Summary: The Director of Information Security is responsible for leading the development and execution of the enterprise's Information Security strategy. This role directs security audits, ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of company data, and collaborates with leadership to manage security risks. As a champion for information security and business continuity, the Director is integral in shaping the company's security practices and ensuring continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Information Security Strategy Development: Design and implement the enterprise-wide Information Security strategy to align with business goals and industry best practices.
- Program Management: Develop, manage, and report on KPIs, initiatives, and metrics to support overall business objectives and ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information across the organization.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the Information Security staff, overseeing the effectiveness of the program while managing priorities and resources.
- Policy and Procedure Oversight: Partner with leadership to define and communicate company-wide Information Security policies and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Incident Response Management: Establish and oversee the organization's incident response capabilities, ensuring timely and effective responses to security incidents.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive the maturity of the Information Security program, focusing on evolving standards to meet the needs of the company, clients, and stakeholders, with an emphasis on continuous security improvements.
What You'll Bring
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience: At least 8 years of experience in Information Security, with a minimum of 3 years managing teams and leading security programs.
- Collaboration: Experience implementing information systems in a startup environment, navigating the challenges of building and scaling systems is preferred.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge in areas like Network and Systems Security, Threat & Vulnerability Management, Identity & Access Management, and Security Compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to manage teams and lead complex security initiatives, driving collaboration across different stakeholders.
- Vendor Management: Experience overseeing vendors and managed services providers to ensure the effectiveness of security measures.
- Risk Management: Extensive experience in risk identification, communication, and remediation within security frameworks.

What to Expect in the Workplace
- Physical Demands: Ability to sit and stand for extended periods in accordance with work shift requirements. Occasional walking, bending, twisting, and use of hands, wrists, and arms for controlled movements.
- Work Environment: Primarily work in an office setting with a controlled temperature and low noise levels. Occasional exposure to a manufacturing environment with temperature extremes, moderate to loud noise levels, and moving equipment.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): When walking on the production floor or in areas requiring PPE, you may be required to wear ear protection, eye protection, safety shoes, a high-visibility vest, and other necessary equipment.
- Visual/Audible Acuity: Must be able to read, write, and speak in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
