Job Overview:
Millennium Property Management is seeking a detail-oriented Housing Inspection Supervisor to oversee and manage the inspection team responsible for conducting property inspections in compliance with HUD’s Housing Quality Standards (HQS) and National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE). This leadership role ensures that the inspection team delivers high-quality services, maintains safe, habitable housing for residents, and upholds all regulatory requirements.
Job Duties:
- Lead and mentor the inspection team at Millennium Property Management, establishing clear expectations and evaluating team performance.
- Ensure the team consistently meets HUD standards and project goals while delivering top-tier service.
- Facilitate training and provide continuous technical support to ensure the team’s success.
- Ensure strict adherence to HUD policies and program procedures across the team.
- Promote a collaborative environment that drives productivity and achievement of organizational goals.
- Perform property assessments at Millennium Property Management to verify compliance with HUD HQS and NSPIRE regulations.
- Identify deficiencies, determine accountability (owner or tenant), and issue notices with clear timelines for corrective actions.
- Maintain detailed, accurate records of inspections, communications, and follow-up actions.
- Organize and schedule inspections to optimize team efficiency and operational flow.
- Ensure inspections, documentation, and follow-ups are completed on time with precision.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in conducting and supervising HUD Housing Quality Standards (HQS) and National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate (NSPIRE) inspections.
- Strong knowledge of HUD regulations, compliance requirements, and property inspection protocols.
- Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to guide, mentor, and motivate a team.
- Ability to assess and manage deficiencies, determine accountability, and ensure corrective actions are implemented within HUD timelines.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple inspections and tasks efficiently.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in generating inspection reports and correspondence.
- Proficiency in using or similar inspection software and managing data systems.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle for on-site work.
- Previous supervisory experience in a housing inspection or property management role is highly preferred.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
