Millennium Strategies is a team of grant writing consultants working with municipalities and counties to apply for funding from various government and philanthropic sources. Founded in 2005, Millennium is the largest full-service grant consulting firm in the region. We currently represent over 110 communities in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Over the past 17 years, Millennium has secured over $900 million in grant funding for our clients.

· Working with the Director of Client Services to serve assigned clients
· Serving as the grant writer for assigned clients
· Coordinating the preparation of funding proposals, including:
o Reviewing guidelines to ensure thoroughness and completeness of each proposal
o Outreach to local government and community stakeholders
o Organization of supporting documentation (i.e., resolutions, letters of support, engineering plans, maps, cost estimates, financial records, etc.)
o Preparation of grant narratives in full compliance with funding guidelines
o Submission, tracking, and follow-up of pending funding requests
· Other duties, as assigned
MAIN FUNCTION:
Grant Writers at Millennium work with clients, ranging from primarily residential suburban communities to county governments to cities with complex infrastructure, land use, and public safety challenges. This work requires an acute attention to detail, the ability to juggle multiple projects with different deadlines, and the ability to work collaboratively with public and elected officials including, but not limited to mayors, administrators, clerks, council members, police and fire chiefs, recreation and health directors, and various other individuals with a role in local government.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS/BA in Political Science, English, History, Communications or an equivalent field
· Strong project management skills
· Knowledge of (or interest in) government or philanthropic funding programs
· Passionate about and confident in their writing ability
· Critical and analytical thinker
· Experience meeting deadlines and/or working in a fast-paced environment that requires high levels of organization
· Prior experience providing customer or client service
· High attention to detail and organization
· Outstanding knowledge of MS Office
· Excellent communication and people skills
· Aptitude in problem solving
· Able to work independently but also be able to work as a team with a result driven approach
Salary : $45,000
