What are the responsibilities and job description for the Inventory Specialist position at Miller Auto Plaza?
Overall Responsibility:
The Inventory Specialist plays an extremely important role in customer satisfaction and the overall continued success of Miller Auto. The position is managing inventory, the lot, internet and showroom set-up and assisting as needed throughout the dealership.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Maximize the use of space and maintain the dealership lot, including, but not limited to parking new and used cars and marine in the assigned area to maintain order, straighten and rotate the cars in the lot and on the show floor, per manager's instructions.
Manage inventory by following Inventory Management SOP.
Maintain open communication with necessary partners and departments at all times.
Check in new/used inventory, by following Transport Drop SOP, and communicate necessary information to departments.
Record description of damages and list missing items on delivery receipt.
Conduct quarterly physical inventory.
Inspect cars to detect damage.
Start all vehicles, charge batteries and fill with gasoline as needed.
Maintain key control and organization by following Key Management SOP.
Photograph vehicles/marine and following Stickers and Images SOP.
Maintain and execute health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures at all times. Including, but not limited to company expectations, state and federal laws, OSHA, Red Flags, Privacy and OFAC.
Routinely power-wash vehicles, as needed, weekly or when expectations change or are communicated.
Routinely examine vehicle interior and exterior to insure the car is in show condition, re-clean if necessary.
Any other duties deemed necessary by management.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be presentable and professional appearing at all times
Must have Valid Driver’s License and good driving record
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 year applicable experience preferred
Good organizational skills and time management
Detail oriented
