General Facilities Worker

Facility Maintenance are responsible for basic maintenance and repair of the facilities including interior, exterior by performing the following duties:

Pay Rate: $21.00 to $23.00 DOE

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

. Plumbing Knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems

. Some knowledge of electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building’s electricity

. Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building

. Groundskeeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance.

. Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant Manner

. Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked

. Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on building

. Maintain exterior property, including blowing parking lots

. Performs other work-related duties as assigned · Must be able to work flexible hours

. Paint, remodel, refurbish areas as needed

. Repair, maintain/monitor all equipment and amenities

• 2- years of working experience in facilities maintenance
• Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multi-task

• 6 years driving experience /Valid California Driver's license
• Ability to push/lift 35 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders
• Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching as job may require
• Ability to work in extreme temperatures
• Working in high noise levels requiring hearing protection
• Working around lubricants, solvents, cleaning fluids, paints
